Mark Eddo is the CEO of Mark Eddo Media, a consultancy that works closely with governments, non-governmental and private sector organisations to build consensus and achieve goals. Recent projects include the launch of the African Continental Free Trade Area for the African Union, the creation of the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund Private Sector Initiative for the United Nations, and the conceptualisation and execution of UNDP's partnership platform African Influencers for Development that brings the UN, private sector, academia and creatives together to co-discover and co-implement sustainable development solutions in Africa.
Mark is the former Senior Correspondent for Business and Economics for ITN, the world's largest independent broadcast news provider. Before ITN, Mark spent several years as a presenter and reporter for BBC World TV in London where regularly hosted 'World Business Report'.
Mark has also worked with Al Jazeera, CNBC, MSNBC, NBC in San Francisco and The Wall Street Journal TV in New York.
Mark is one of Africa’s leading conference presenters and has moderated many major international events around the world including the recent launch ceremony for the African Continental Free Trade Area, the world's largest free trade zone. The son of a Nigerian engineer and a British nurse, Mark grew up in Lagos and London. In 2019 Africa's best-selling magazine New African included Mark in its list of the 100 Most Influential Africans, describing him as 'The Master Communicator'.
