Nicole Feliz is an experienced design strategist and group facilitator committed to fostering collaboration, learning, and alignment. Over the past two decades, she has applied her expertise to support social
justice champions by crafting and executing strategic initiatives, programs, and experiences that spur
conversation and spark action.
As a co-founder of The Grey Area Collective, an art, design, and activism design studio, Nicole plays an important role in shaping projects and client partnerships. She also serves as a Managing Partner at Dpict, a graphic facilitation studio that specializes in process design, visualization, sensemaking, and collaborative environments.
As a storyteller, Nicole is passionate about influencing new narratives about our collective future. Drawing from a foundation in content strategy, group facilitation, design, and creative practice, she brings a diverse set of lenses to her collaborations with social justice champions worldwide. Nicole is committed to building bridges through collaboration and shared experiences.
In her current role at the Santa Fe Art Institute, Nicole serves as Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees
contributing to a new exciting evolution of the organization. In addition, she is a member of the Grey Area
Collective Lab creating participatory exhibitions tackling critical issues like climate change, migrant rights,
and body sovereignty currently being incubated at the School for Visual Arts.
Nicole holds degrees in Cultural Anthropology and Creative Writing, as well as certifications in group
facilitation, complexity thinking, systems design, and strategic communications. Her creative practice
explores identity issues through collage, painting, poetry, and zine making. The New Mexican native
divides her time between Santa Fe, NM, and Brooklyn, NY.
