Shiromal Cooray is a distinguished leader in Sri Lanka's travel industry, recognized among the 50 most powerful women in business in the country. As the Chairman & Managing Director of Jetwing Travels, the premier inbound tour operator of Jetwing, she has played a pivotal role in the company's success. Despite being the daughter of Jetwing's founder, Herbert Cooray, Shiromal charted her own path by first gaining qualifications in finance and excelling in advertising, where she served as Finance Director at JWT Sri Lanka and JWT Hong Kong.

After seven successful years in advertising, Shiromal returned to Sri Lanka to rejuvenate Jetwing's travel division. Her strategic leadership and foresight have been instrumental in driving the company's growth, and she attributes her achievements to the unwavering support of her team.

Shiromal is deeply family oriented and considers motherhood her greatest achievement. She enjoys traveling, reading and exploring nature. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and holds an MBA from the University of Colombo.

Throughout her career, Shiromal has held numerous leadership positions, including Vice President of the Travel Agents Association of Sri Lanka (TAASL), President of the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) and Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID). She also serves as a director at Leo Burnett, Capital Alliance and Ceylon Tea Brokers, contributing her expertise and insights to these organizations.
