Virendra plays a key role in OMRON's leadership, with two strategic roles:
• Global HR Strategy Leader: As General Manager of Global Human Resources Strategy, Virendra plays a critical role in shaping and deploying HR strategies that secure the talent needed to fuel OMRON's growth ambitions worldwide.
• President of OMRON Management Centre Asia Pacific: Leading the OMRON Management Centre Asia Pacific, Virendra oversees a team supporting over 5,500 employees across 22 business entities. This leadership is crucial for capitalizing on the immense growth potential of the Asia Pacific region.

Virendra joined OMRON in 2014. With over 25 years of expertise in leadership development, talent management, and driving business transformation through change management, his proven track record makes him ideal to lead OMRON’s talent and transformation strategy.

Believing that sustainability is not only good for the planet, but also for the business and the people, Virendra also leads promotion of sustainability & digital transformation in the APAC region. Pursuing the localisation of OMRON global sustainability strategy & digital transformation in APAC, he has been instrumental in establishing OMRON’s sustainability committee and promoting DEXTRA (Digital Experience Transformation) initiative in the region. He fosters a culture of sustainability & digital literacy by encouraging his team to implement various non-financial goals-based initiatives that aim to lower OMRON's environmental impact, support social responsibility by engaging with local communities and volunteer activities, improve digital literacy by contributing towards betterment of employee skills, and increase corporate governance.

Before OMRON, Virendra spearheaded learning and development initiatives across Asia for renowned companies like International Rectifiers, Schneider Electric, and Sony Electronics. His accomplishments include playing a key role in establishing the Sony University (Singapore Campus) in 2012.

Virendra is passionate about identifying and nurturing the next generation of leaders. He has a wealth of experience working with leaders across various levels and functions (sales, marketing, manufacturing) throughout Asia, the US, and Europe.

Virendra holds a Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering from Mumbai University. He actively shares his knowledge by speaking at conferences and business schools and contributing articles to magazines.
