Speaker Bio
With over three decades in the fashion industry, Anna brings expertise in design, manufacturing, and strategic planning. Beyond fashion, she is actively involved in community development through the BAYO Manila Foundation.

Currently serving as the CEO and Chief Creative Officer for three prominent fashion brands—Bayo, Unica Hija, and Viseversa—she holds key leadership positions in a fully integrated company, where she is also the President. Her extensive leadership experience in strategic management, covering manufacturing, trading, and retail, enables her to provide deliberate business directions while enhancing the company culture and fostering overall growth. Despite representing a small group of companies, Bayo Manila Inc. stands out as the flagship, where she is fully hands-on and involved in day-to-day decision-making.

In 2017, marking the 25th anniversary, she realigned the company's vision and focused the roadmap on becoming a sustainable entity. Pioneering local mainstream fashion brands, they transitioned from a linear to a circular business model, gaining momentum when they became a participant-member of the UN Global Compact in 2020.

Since then, her company has been committed to adhering to the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, shaping the progress of sustainability initiatives. Advocating for creating the world we want has become her mission. She shares the meaningful journey to inspire others outside the company, believing that small wins can replicate and become significant when implemented by more organizations. Her experience in forging collaborations has accelerated sustainable goals, particularly in creating purposeful connections to achieve sustainability goals for the 2030 agenda.

The collective approach through the Journey to Zero initiatives recently highlighted the company's role as a gender-responsive marketplace. Bayo Manila Inc. received the 2021 Champion award for both the Nationals and the Asia-Pacific Regional awards in this category. Additionally, they received recognition in Community Partnerships as the 2nd runner-up to a multinational company. These awards, though humbling and unplanned, symbolize that they are on the right path. They validate the type of leadership that can guide in achieving tangible results and align with the responsible leadership that places sustainability at its core.
