Mohd Azharuddin Mat Sah was appointed as Prasarana’s President and Group Chief Executive Officer on 15 July 2021 and also sits on the Board of MRT Corp.

Prior to this, Azharuddin was the Group Chief Transformation Officer of Malaysia Airlines Berhad, and served as CEO of Suruhanjaya Pengangkutan Awam Darat (SPAD) from 2015 to 2018. At SPAD, he was responsible on matters of policy, planning, development, enforcing public transport laws; enhancement of urban rail, bus, taxis and commercial vehicle services. He also worked with Malaysia’s transformation agency, PEMANDU (Performance Management and Delivery Unit under Prime Minister’s Department) as Director for Urban Land and Greater KL/Klang Valley Public Transportation from 2014 to 2016.

Azharuddin held various roles in prominent local and multinational corporations namely; Microsoft, Khazanah and was placed at Shell International Petroleum Company in London.

Internationally, he was appointed as a Policy Board Member for UITP as Vice-Chair of Asia Pacific Division from 2023 to 2025.
