I am Erich Stephen Lagura, the ESG Data Specialist of PLDT Inc. I am 25 years old and I handle:
• Monitoring of the progress of the PLDT group’s decarbonization roadmap, gap identification, and coordination with the functional units for any necessary remedial efforts.
• Consolidation and analysis of the trend of the carbon emissions per facility of PLDT, Smart, ePLDT, and PLDT Global Inc., among other subsidiaries.
• Periodic data gathering of the following social metrics for integrated / sustainability reporting, among others. These include:
✓ Employee statistics by gender, age group, location, and category
✓ Employee training
✓ Employee performance management
✓ Employee benefits including parental leaves
✓ Other metrics that may be included in the sustainability / integrated report.
• Assisting in the monitoring and measurement of various sustainability programs and initiatives of the company.
I joined the SDG Innovation Accelerator Program for Young Professionals to get a deeper insight on the various breakthrough technologies that help companies achieve the sustainable development goals and apply my learnings in the company where I work to help make our business operations bring about positive impact in local communities and the country as a whole. With the lessons gained from the program, I am sure that the solution formulated by the team could help with the continuation of community economic activities during disasters and even disaster resilience for the betterment of the nation."
