Achilleas Ioakimides contributes to the integration of sustainable development principles, goals, commitments and practices into the strategy and operations of PPC Group, while he is also responsible for the organization’s sustainability reporting, as well as its representation
in international sustainability initiatives.
He represents PPC Group in a range of international initiatives, including the Coalition for Sustainable Procurement and the European CSO Platform of the UN Global Compact, the Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders and the Chief Sustainability Officers Community of the World Economic Forum as well as the Chief Sustainability Officers Network of CSR Europe. He also contributed to the development of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) through EFRAG.
He is an elected member to the Boards of the UN Global Compact Network Greece and CSR Hellas, both of which promote sustainability within the Greek business community. He also represents PPC at the Hellenic Sustainable Business Council (ESBC). He is a frequent speaker at conferences in Greece and abroad, actively advancing the sustainability agenda and SDGs within the business community as well as among younger generations.
Before joining PPC Group, he worked for more than 15 years in the private sector and public administration, in the fields of policy communications, marketing, tourism and international relations.
He holds a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Piraeus, an MSc in Marketing from the University of Stirling, and an MSc in Politics & Communication from the London School of Economics (LSE). He has also completed executive programs on sustainability and circular economy at MIT Sloan School of Management and Cambridge Judge Business School. In addition, he has participated as an instructor in executive training programs on sustainable development and ESG.
