Carlos Villagrán Muñoz brings over 15 years of experience leading corporate ethics, compliance, and integrity programs across global enterprise organizations. He holds a Law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Georgetown University Law Center (USA). Throughout his career, he has served as Compliance Officer at prominent financial institutions including Liberty Mutual Insurance and MUFG (Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group), and worked within the World Bank Group’s Integrity & Ethics Office. Currently, Carlos serves as Corporate Director of Risk, Audit, and Compliance at CMPC—a leading multinational in the forestry, pulp and paper industry operating across 12 countries, with a workforce exceeding 20,000 employees and commercial reach in over 65 countries worldwide.
