Speaker Bio
Ewhomazino “Zino” Glory Bernard is a strategic communications professional working at the intersection of private capital, impact and inclusive growth. She is a Corporate Communications Officer at Alitheia Capital, an impact investment firm and manager of the Alitheia IDF Fund, Africa’s pioneering gender-lens private equity fund. The fund invests in high-growth businesses that drive inclusive economic growth across Africa.
At Alitheia, Zino works across strategic communications, impact positioning and stakeholder engagement. She shapes how the firm articulates its value, communicates its portfolio’s impact and engages key stakeholders across its investment ecosystem. She believes narrative is infrastructure for capital: how a company’s value and impact are communicated shapes who understands it, trusts it and chooses to back it.
Previously, Zino worked in Nigeria’s education sector alongside government and development partners. She is also a participant in the UN Global Compact SDG Innovation Accelerator for Young Professionals, where she co-developed AgriFinance, a gender-intentional credit-scoring and solar-irrigation solution selected as one of the top five innovative solutions from 22 countries.
She is interested in how stronger narratives and more intentional capital can expand who gets to participate in and benefit from economic growth.
