Christie Ippisch is the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer at Cementos Progreso, bringing more than three decades of experience in finance, ethics, and corporate compliance. She began her career in finance at Hampton Bank and Banco de Occidente before joining Citibank in 1994, where she excelled in senior leadership roles including Corporate Treasurer and Head of Financial Institutions. In 2005, she transitioned fully into the field of Ethics and Compliance, serving as Corporate Ethics and Compliance Officer and leading the COVEC-Progreso Committee. Throughout her career, she has championed transparency, integrity, and responsible governance, strengthening organizational culture and guiding strategic decision-making with an ethical lens.

Passionate about developing future leaders, Christie serves as a Corporate Compliance professor at Universidad Francisco Marroquín and holds certifications in ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management Systems and Business Ethics. She is actively engaged in social impact initiatives through Fundación Ayuvi and educational institutions such as the American School of Guatemala, reinforcing her belief in contributing to the country’s well-being. Her work reflects a steadfast commitment to advancing compliance practices, promoting a culture of integrity, and driving sustainable, positive change across both the corporate and social sectors in Guatemala.
