Seasoned board director and global technology industry leader with over 25 years of experience spanning business, governance, and development finance. One of the very few professionals globally to hold both the IoD Chartered Director and NACD Certified Director designations simultaneously, Philippe brings a sustained track record of value creation across listed and private companies in fintech, telecoms, and digital infra – including as Chair and Committee Chair – across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Americas.

Originally a qualified tech lawyer, Philippe's executive career originally combined legal, regulatory, and government affairs then evolved towards hands-on in country operations then strategy and international business development. He has led teams of up to 3,000 people for Orange, Ooredoo, and Vodafone, and held full P&L responsibility. He has lived in 10 countries and worked in over 100. He is fluent in four languages and reads seven. He has NED roles with companies in the US, in Europe, and in Asia. He is also a member of the council of the Institute of Directors in the UK. He brings a broad international perspective, underpinned by an extensive network spanning multinational corporations, sovereign governments, development finance institutions, and international organisations.

His board-level competencies encompass five core areas: strategy and intl. growth, incl. M&A, market entry, licensing, and market expansion; governance and compliance, spanning audit, risk, nomination, governance, and compensation; digital and technology oversight across fintech, telecoms, satellite, AI, and payments; stakeholder and institutional relations with leading DFIs, as well as regulators and sovereign governments; and capital markets, incl. IPO, investor relations, and the structuring of equity, debt, and insurance packages.
