Originally a qualified tech lawyer, Philippe's executive career originally combined legal, regulatory, and government affairs then evolved towards hands-on in country operations then strategy and international business development. He has led teams of up to 3,000 people for Orange, Ooredoo, and Vodafone, and held full P&L responsibility. He has lived in 10 countries and worked in over 100. He is fluent in four languages and reads seven. He has NED roles with companies in the US, in Europe, and in Asia. He is also a member of the council of the Institute of Directors in the UK. He brings a broad international perspective, underpinned by an extensive network spanning multinational corporations, sovereign governments, development finance institutions, and international organisations.
