Livia Sobota is the National Secretary for Transparency and Access to Information at the Office of the Comptroller General of Brazil (CGU) and a career diplomat (Counselor). Previously, she served as Program Director at the Executive Secretariat of the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services, as well as Advisor to the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and to the Special Advisory Office of the Presidency of the Republic. In her overseas assignments, she served as a Brazilian negotiator at the
United Nations in New York and headed the International Cooperation Unit at the Embassy of Brazil in Colombia. She holds a degree in Law from the University of São Paulo and graduated from the Rio Branco Institute's Diplomatic Training Program. She was also a World Fellow at Yale University in the United States.
