Lucian Basil Ouma is a financial services professional and economic development practitioner with experience spanning card business, product development, customer propositions, and financial inclusion. He currently works at I&M Bank Kenya, where he contributes to the development and growth of innovative payment and credit card solutions, including digital payments, loyalty programmes, and strategic partnerships.

Lucian holds a Master of Commerce in Economic Development from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Economics from Nelson Mandela University. His academic and professional experience has shaped his interest in leveraging financial innovation to address real-world socioeconomic challenges while creating sustainable value for businesses and communities.

As a participant in the SDG Innovation Accelerator for Young Professionals, Lucian is part of a team developing an innovative solution aimed at addressing financial and operational challenges faced by Kenya’s gig economy workers, while creating sustainable business value and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals.
