Adaobi Ogudo is a seasoned architect of healthcare transformation across Africa, with over 15 years of experience shaping the systems that keep the continent's people alive and thriving. As Lead Consultant at Healthbox, a Pan-African company spanning Healthcare Technology and Healthcare Communication, she has advised on the planning, design and execution of secondary and tertiary medical facilities,
sustainable energy systems, medical gas networks and oxygen plant installations, equipping ICUs, NICUs, operating rooms and dialysis units across the region.
Her leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic drove one of the highest volumes of medical gas and oxygen plant installations in Catholic hospitals and other facilities nationwide, a testament to her ability to deliver critical infrastructure under pressure. On the communications side of her work, she coordinated Africa's largest fertility awareness campaign through one of the oldest pharmaceutical companies in the
world, Merck, Germany. The campaign, titled “More Than a Mother,” built platforms where healthcare professionals and policymakers cross fertilize ideas and knowledge on improving fertility treatment in
Africa.
Beyond consulting, Adaobi is a committed health activist and change agent. She founded Care Channel Africa, an NGO driving the M.A.D (Malnutrition and Deworming) initiative from 2008 to 2010, which improved child nutrition, hygiene and academic performance across five primary schools in Rivers State, Nigeria. Through Care Channel Club, she has also championed STEM and sexual health education,
training young girls as peer educators on hygiene, reproductive health and HIV/AIDS awareness.
A recognised voice on chronic disease, blood donation, medical oxygen access, sustainable energy and climate change, Adaobi has spoken at platforms including Rotary Club events in Nigeria, the NNEW workshop, and the Total Trade Mission in Paris, France.
In the Leaders Summit sessions, “SPARK,” she draws on her frontline experience navigating equipment shortages, logistics bottlenecks and supply constraints in African healthcare, offering a practical, hard-won framework for turning supply chain pressure into growth, resilience and opportunity for SMEs across the continent.
