Aleksej Heinze is a Senior Professor in Digital Marketing at KEDGE Business School, with research interests in digital transformation, artificial intelligence and their implications for organisations and society. He earned his doctorate from Salford Business School, UK, in 2008 and has extensive experience in international research, teaching and industry collaboration. He is co-author of Digital and Social Media Marketing: A Results-Driven Approach, now in its third edition.

Aleksej is currently involved in the EU Horizon Europe BRIDGEGAP project (2024–2028), where his work focuses particularly on the use of artificial intelligence and digital transformation in anti-corruption and business integrity. His research examines the opportunities and risks associated with AI-supported corruption detection and prevention, including data readiness, explainability, bias, human oversight, AI training and governance guardrails. Current work also explores how organisations can responsibly integrate AI into anti-corruption, ethics and compliance practices, including through experiments with AI tools, organisational case studies and collaboration with international partners.
