Julie Wedege is Senior Vice President for Politics and Ownership at Statkraft, Europe’s largest producer of renewable energy. In this role, she is responsible for the company’s engagement on energy policy, government affairs, ownership matters, and regulatory frameworks affecting the renewable energy sector.
Wedege has held several senior leadership positions within Statkraft, including VP Head of Politics, Ownership and Climate, and Acting Head of Public Affairs. Prior to joining Statkraft in 2012, she worked at the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, where she gained extensive experience in energy and climate policy.
She holds a Cand.Polit. degree in Comparative Politics from University of Bergen and an MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Wedege has also served on the boards of organizations including Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP), Statkraft Energi AS, and formerly the Norwegian Hydrogen Forum
