Speaker Bio
I am a veteran journalist with over two decades of experience covering business, technology, politics and international affairs.
I started my career at Reuters, where I worked in both the New York and London bureaus covering economics and global finance. In 2001, I joined CNN International where I served as a correspondent and anchor for the network’s flagship business shows. Broadcast to 373 million households worldwide and on Sirius radio, CNN Money with Maggie Lake covered all the day’s global market action and breaking corporate news along with a special focus on corporate leadership.
Over the course of my career, I interviewed the world’s top CEOs, celebrities and politicians and have been a consistent champion of economic inclusion and sustainable development. I know how to frame a media story and can help guide corporate communications that resonate with an audience.
In addition to my work at CNN, I also served as a weekly contributor for NPR and moderated events for the United Nations, World Bank, Council on Foreign Relations and Global Citizen. I currently advise start-ups and am on the board of the newly created Rutgers University Center for Women in Business. I launched this media company to help others find their voice and learn to communicate in a way that will help grow their careers and businesses.
