Maanda Rashaka is a powerhouse of impact, currently serving as the full-time Senior Specialist - ESG Social Impact at Vodacom, one of Africa's leading telecommunications companies. Armed with a BSc undergraduate degree in Biotechnology and a BSc Hons in Environmental Management from the esteemed University of Pretoria, Maanda possesses an extensive academic background. Maanda boasts a decade of hands-on experience in Corporate Social Responsibility, and he has remarkable drive stems from his unwavering passion for catalyzing positive and sustainable change in his native country South Africa. Not only has he excelled as a lecturer, sharing his expertise on sustainable business practices at a local private university, but he has also spearheaded groundbreaking initiatives.
 
Recognized for his unwavering dedication, Maanda actively contributes as a board member of a rural food security non-profit organization, bringing his invaluable expertise to advise on sustainability matters, he has also become a cherished friend of the Global Compact Network in South Africa, eagerly volunteering in numerous capacities. Maanda piloted and successfully ran the Youth SDG Innovation accelerator (formerly known as YSIP) in both South Africa and Kenya, assuming the vital role of facilitator for the program in South Africa to this day. Perhaps most notably, Maanda is renowned among his SDG innovation alumni for his trailblazing mindset centered around the mantra "love the problem," inspiring breakthrough innovation across the board.
