Speaker Bio
Salome Zurabishvili has played a key role in leading positive changes and transforming Georgia's business culture as the UN Global Compact Network Georgia Executive Director, which she founded and has headed since 2016.
 
In March 2021, she was elected to chair the UN Global Compact Regional Network Council for Eastern Europe and Central Asia. In February 2023, she was appointed as a co-chair of the UN Global Compact Global Network Council, representing 62 networks on the United Nations Global Compact Board.
 
Salome's career of over a decade encompasses roles in international organizations, public service, and academia. She worked on public international law and international human rights law with the Ministry of Justice of Georgia. In 2013, she earned a Master of Laws degree specializing in International Human Rights Law and International Labor Rights from Lund University, Sweden, through the Swedish Institute Visby Programme Scholarship.
 
Since 2018, Salome has shared her expertise through lectures on corporate sustainability at various public and private universities in Georgia. Her experience includes participation in US Department of State-supported renowned educational exchange programs. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Georgian American University.
 
Salome's accomplishments comprise receiving the Forbes Georgia 30 Under 30 Award in 2020 and the European Parliament's Sakharov Fellowship in 2017.
