Nathalie Stadelmann is a human rights officer working at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. She has been working in the Business and Human Rights Section since 2017 and is a project lead on the B-Tech Project – applying the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights to key human rights challenges related to digital technologies as well as the Secretary of two norms- setting processes (Open-ended Intergovernmental working group on transnational corporations and other business enterprises with respect to human rights and Open-ended Intergovernmental working group on private and military security companies). Previous to her work in the business and human rights field, she had been working in the Human Rights Treaty Division and the Special Procedures Branch of the Office, supporting the CEDAW committee and various special procedures mandate holders, including the working group on discrimination against women in law and in practice and the Special Rapporteur on violence against women . Prior to OHCHR, she worked as a legal officer at the United Nations Division for the Advancement of Women in New York (now part of UN Women). Before becoming an international civil servant, she had worked at the Swiss Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Swiss Ministry of Justice, as well as the ICRC. Ms. Stadelmann holds a Master of Law from the University of Neuchâtel and a Master in International Affairs with a specialization in public international law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development studies in Geneva.
