Having held positions in manufacturing, technical, commercial and strategy, Ester is an international leader who drives transformational change, advocates for diversity and inclusion, and aligns a purpose-driven approach to sustainable growth and enhanced profitability. In addition to her work at Novozymes with the UN Global Compact, she also holds a number of active external leadership positions in the sustainability and climate space, including as Chair of the “Climate partnership for Life Science and Biotech” of the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs for the Government of Denmark; as “Sustainability Champion” for the United States Council for International Business (USCIB) Board of Trustees, and as a Member of the World Economic Forum’s CEO Climate Leaders Alliance and its CEO Action Group for a European Green Deal, as well as a Leader of the B-Team. Ester holds a degree in chemical engineering and an MBA from the University of Tarragona (Spain).
