Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim is an Indigenous woman, member of the Mbororo pastoralist people in Chad and President of the Association of Fulani Women and Indigenous Peoples of Chad (AFPAT). Oumarou Ibrahim is an advocate for the greater inclusion of indigenous peoples and their knowledge in the multilateral agenda addressing climate change adaptation and mitigation.

Oumarou Ibrahim was appointed as a UN Sustainable Development Goals Advocate. She serves as Chair of the UN Permanent Forum for Indigenous Issues; Member of the Advisory Committee to the Secretary-General’s 2019 Climate Action Summit. Member of the Indigenous Peoples of Africa Coordinating Committee (IPACC).

Currently, she is Chair of the FSC-IF Council.
