Muhammad Tariq is the chief sustainability and innovation officer at Tanmiah Food Company. An expert in sustainable development in food production through optimisation and innovations, he has a track record of aligning SDG goals to environmental, social and governance initiatives and reporting based on the Global Reporting Initiative framework. With a materials engineering and supply chain management education background, Tariq developed ideas for the 2020 and 2022 Omnipreneurship Awards which resulted in a patent for converting poultry biowaste to biodegradable plastic. Recently, he has been working on developing carbon negative materials for construction from biowaste, converting biowaste to renewable energy, and ESG standardisation of the GRI framework.
