Maureen Kilgour, PhD, is a Professor in the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Winnipeg. She is a co-founder and chair of the UN Principles for Responsible Management Education Gender Equality Working Group and was on the Leadership Group of U.N. Women’s Empowerment Principles Leadership from its launch to 2018. She conducts research on business and human rights, corporate responsibility and gender equality, focussing on the UN Global Compact’s potential for tackling gender inequality through the Ten Principles and the SDGs. She has recently co-edited three books on gender equality in management education and gender and CSR. Dr. Kilgour has also worked in policy development, advocacy and as a negotiator in the area of industrial relations across Canada and has consulted for a variety of organizations on issues related to the respectful workplace, diversity management, collective bargaining and human rights in the workplace.
