Invest in Women Luncheon

Join us this International Women's Day for an invite-only, executive-level discussion on closing the gender gap through finance and investments. Hosted by the UN Global Compact’s CFO Coalition for the SDGs, this intimate discussion over lunch will gather senior leaders in financial services, corporate finance, sustainability and government. Held alongside the Ring-the-Bell for Gender Equality ceremony at Nasdaq, the Invest in Women luncheon will also kick off the 68th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), starting March 11th.We welcome all genders and are grateful for male allyship in our work to close the gender gap. High-level breakfast with Brazilian Women Leaders

Business Leadership Dialogue: Moving Forward Faster on Gender Equality

On the side-lines of the 68th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, the UN Global Compact and Champions of Change Coalition will convene global Chief Executives championing gender equality to reflect on how the private sector can close the gender gaps in representation and leadership, as well as the gender pay gap – stubborn deterrents to achieving full economic participation of women worldwide. Businesses Key Role In Achieving SDG 5 AND 10 & Human Rights Movements Awards

Contributing to the collective construction of knowledge, we will bring together business leaders along with government officials, civil society leaders, academia, and United Nations representatives to discuss how the business sector can accelerate gender equality and unlock leadership, technological change, and innovation to address the world's greatest challenges, UN Global Compact Brazil will feature a series of debates during the morning of the 14th.  The discussion will center around the imperative role of companies in championing the human rights of women and girl’s, particularly those facing multiple vulnerabilities. Emphasis will be placed on the crucial collaboration with the public sector to develop and implement strategies that amplify women’s participation at all levels of decision-making withing businesses, as the State plays a pivotal role in ensuring the achievement of SDG 5 by reducing inequalities for women and girls.

The primary objective of this side event is to actively engage companies, underscoring the paramount importance of committing to this theme. Furthermore, we aim to foster meaningful exchanges and networking among participants, while showcasing the impactful initiatives of Brazilian companies in this domain on the global stage.
