Christina Niemelä Ström, Global Head of Sustainability for IKEA Supply and Strategic Sustainability Assignments for Inter IKEA Group

Christina Niemelä Ström is the Global Head of Sustainability for IKEA Supply and leads the Strategic Sustainability assignments on behalf of Inter IKEA Group. With over two and a half decades of experience developing both the IKEA business and its people across the value chain, Christina is committed to bring values-based decision making and comprehensive thinking on sustainability into the everyday business.

In her current role, Christina is responsible for the IKEA supply chain sustainability agenda in support of the ambitious IKEA Sustainability Strategy, taking systemic view on all topics connected to responsible sourcing, climate, circularity, biodiversity, water and human rights. She also leads the Inter IKEA Strategic Sustainability topics related to climate, nature and people, as well as stakeholder engagement, partnerships, impact and assessments, reporting and co-worker development.
