Tonilyn P. Lim became Chief of Programmes at the UN Global Compact in July 2023, overseeing the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programmes in environmental, economic, and social development. With over 20 years of experience, she has led projects in sustainable development at both national and international levels.
Before joining the UN Global Compact, Ms. Lim held leadership roles at UNIDO, serving as Head of the Regional Office in China and Country Representative in the Philippines. She also worked as a project manager in Vienna, focusing on energy, climate change, and environmental management. Additionally, she was Chief Technical Adviser at the ILO Manila Office, supporting small enterprises' recovery post-pandemic.
Ms. Lim holds a Master’s in Environmental Management from Ateneo De Manila University and the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor’s in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines. She also took up graduate studies on renewable energy from the Technical University of Vienna.
