Appointed as the Minister of International Affairs and Cooperation (MIAC), on 26th August 2020. Prior to his appointment at MIAC, Dr. Kwape served as the Minister of Health and Wellness, from November 2019 to August 2020. He is also a Member of Parliament for Kanye South Constituency in the Southern part of Botswana. Dr. Kwape is a visionary leader who is passionate about transformative leadership and good governance. The Honourable Minister has extensive experience working in the public, private, and non-governmental organisation sectors. Dr. Kwape holds a PhD in Epidemiology from University of Aberdeen, Scotland; a Master’s Degree in Public Health and Epidemiology from Wagening University, Netherlands; and a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from Texas Southern University, United States of America.
