Kate Gibson is Global ESG (Spirit of Progress) Director at Diageo, a position she has held since 2019. As part of her role, Kate is responsible for leading Diageo’s work in playing a positive role in all the communities in which it operates and to embody Diageo’s commitment to society and its targets.

Kate has over 15 years of experience in Corporate Strategy, ESG and Sustainable Development. She has worked on developing and embedding strategies to enhance environmental sustainability, with a particular focus on carbon reduction in core operations and value chains, water stewardship and waste reduction.

Prior to joining Diageo, Kate was Vice President of Global Corporate Responsibility at InterContinental Hotels Group. Her industry career spans consumer goods, hospitality and travel.
