Clayton is an investment manager with Emerald Technology Ventures with a focus on water and wastewater. Clayton defines Emeralds investment strategy and is involved in all phases of the investment process including sourcing, evaluating, selecting and supporting innovative startups from early diligence to exit. Prior to joining Emerald in 2020, Clayton held various positions in the water sector. As a global product manager at GE Water, he led a series of product strategies, sales targets and expansion projects into emerging markets. More recently, at Xylem, Clayton was responsible for business development in the condition assessment of aging infrastructure for a range of municipal and industrial clients, he also focused on implementation of digital solutions across the entire water sector.
