The sixty-ninth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) will take place from 10 to 21 March 2024. Representatives of Member States, UN entities, and ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from all regions of the world are invited to contribute to the session. CSW stands as the largest gathering of companies, governments, and civil society, prompting a universal call-to-action: How are we advancing gender equality, and what actionable steps can be taken to bridge the global gender divide?

The main focus of the sixty-ninth session will be on the review and appraisal of the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (1995) and the outcomes of the 23rd special session of the General Assembly. The review will include an assessment of current challenges that affect the implementation of the Platform for Action and the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of women and its contribution towards the full realization of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

The UN Global Compact will host an afternoon of discussions focusing on notable actions companies have taken to advance women’s economic inclusion, be it through advancing gender equality across the value chain through gender lens investing, adopting gender-responsive procurement, and other notable levers that move the needle on gender equality, such as identifying the transformative potential of allyship to drive progress.

The Business Leadership Dialogue is strictly by invitation only. Select C-Suite representatives from organizations that are highly engaged UN Global Compact Participants will have exclusivity in attending the event.
