The 67th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is the largest convening of companies, governments, and civil society, and the call-to-action is the same for everyone: how are we moving the needle on gender equality and what actions can you take to close the global digital divide?

The UN Global Compact will convene business leaders from across the globe together with leaders from government, civil society, academia and the United Nations to discuss how the private sector can accelerate gender equality and unlock leadership, technological change and innovation to tackle the world’s greatest challenges. Through a series of side events, UN Global Compact participants will offer best practice interventions, representing all regions of the world, proving that there is a way to drive tangible results in the workplace, the marketplace and community.

The initiative is a partnership between the UN Global Compact, IFC, Sustainable Stock Exchanges, UN Women and the World Federation of Exchanges to raise awareness about the business case for women’s economic empowerment and the opportunities for the private sector to advance gender equality and sustainable development.
