Keeping in line with the UNGC belief in the power of collective efforts, Global Compact Network India in collaboration with Global Compact Network Bangladesh, Nepal & Sri Lanka will be co-hosting the session on “Sustainable Value Chains - connecting human, social & business pieces of puzzle" as the region recognizes the power of uniting business as a critical means to not only respond but also recover, rebuild and resurge stronger from the impact of events like climate change & pandemic. The session is seen to be in synchronicity with Agenda 2030 and will set the pathway towards its noted vision of building a strong network, promoting sustainable & positive corporate strategies along production and supply chains, achieve the environmentally sound management & green market practices. These also include green procurement, green manufacturing, green distribution and reverse logistic practices especially after the Covid-19 pandemic & alarming climate crisis.
The session will witness the exchange of best practices by companies involved around the work on creating sustainable supply chain mechanism & upscaling models. The functional strategy shall set the tone for bridging the gaps, bringing out linkages and building out balanced profitable & sustainable solutions and ways to adopt sustainable practices to integrate sustainability information into their entire market development mechanisms.
