Fernanda is an environmental engineer with experience in national and international climate policy, waste management, and corporate sustainability. She has contributed to large-scale multi-stakeholder projects, including the development of a strategy for Mexico to participate in international carbon markets under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.

From 2021 to 2023, Fernanda worked with the Carbon Trust as a policy expert, focusing on international carbon markets and carbon pricing. Before that, she worked at the World Resources Institute in Mexico, where she focused on the intersection between energy, climate change, and water in the public sector.

She is a member of the International Carbon Action Partnership (ICAP) community, with professionals from 25 countries. She has attended the “Summer School on Emissions Trading System 2022” in Florence and the “ICAP Alumni Conference 2023” in Berlin.

At 21 HOLISTIK, she develops and facilitates training to companies and their suppliers. She supports companies in their preparation and submission of targets to the Science-based Targets Initiative and she conducts research on planetary boundaries, to help inform the company’s strategy.
