Julie Bissinella has more than 25 years’ experience leading national and international corporate affairs and sustainability teams and strategies; change and communication management for major transformation initiatives; and community/stakeholder engagement programs. Previous roles include Director of Community Engagement at BUPA APAC, Executive Director Communication and Brand at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Head of Sustainability at ANZ Bank.
Julie has been involved in the Champions of Change Coalition since 2010. Today, as Director of Engagement and Impact she leads program strategy, implementation and engagement, working with the Coalition’s 260+ CEO and Board level leaders and their teams to achieve the Coalition’s vision of inclusive gender equality across workplaces by 2030.
Her passion is engaging with stakeholders to develop transformative and system-shifting strategies that accelerate change towards gender equality. In 2023, she led a Coalition-wide project to develop “7 Switches for Inclusive Gender Equality by Design” a pioneering initiative to help embed gender equality at the heart of decision-making and design processes. She is a member of the UNFPA’s Equity 2030 Alliance Expert Group and a Fellow of the Williamson Community Leadership Program.
