In her current role as Human Rights Manager at the UN Global Compact, Saskia works with the private sector and the UN system to support business engagement on human rights due diligence and the UN Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights. Saskia used to work as a corporate lawyer in London before making the switch to human rights and working for Amnesty International on business and human rights matters. Prior to joining the UN, Saskia lived in Berlin advising companies, investors, foundations and UN organisations on how to support and implement the Sustainable Development Goals. Saskia studied at the London School of Economics and at the University of Oxford.
