Agata Smeets is the Head of Environment & Product Sustainability at Gap Inc. She works with numerous cross-functional stakeholders to advance sustainability strategy in key impact areas, including climate, water, and fibers, across Gap Inc.’s iconic brands- Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, and Athleta. She brings experience working at the company’s Hong Kong headquarters where she was responsible for setting environmental sustainability strategy for the company’s sourcing organization. Formerly, Agata was part of Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy & Operations practice focusing on sustainable supply chains. She also helped found the Sustainability Forum research effort at the Washington D.C.-based Corporate Executive Board, which brought together 800 cross-functional executives with an interest in sustainability. She is a graduate of Yale University and Johnson at Cornell.
