ABOUT

Hosted by the UN Global Compact, together with UN Environment and UN Climate Change, the 12th Annual High-Level Meeting of Caring for Climate will bring together leaders and senior executives of business, Government, finance, civil society, and the UN to exchange views on how we can improve public and private finance flows to support the development and implementation of national climate transition plans.

In light of COP29 being referred to as the “finance COP,” this year’s meeting will focus on aligning climate finance contributions with global needs and transforming country Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) into investment roadmaps. To successfully execute countries’ NDCs, we must streamline the multi-stakeholder approach around the development and implementation of these plans. With this in mind, the UN Global Compact is working with the NDC Partnership and Member States to ensure greater private sector inclusion in the NDC process. To better understand key pain points and establish a way forward,

The meeting is in-person and by invitation only.
