About the High-Level Meeting of Caring for Climate
Hosted by the UN Global Compact, together with UN Environment Programme and UN Climate Change, the in-person meeting will bring together senior executives of business, industry, finance, civil society, the United Nations and Government to help accelerate immediate cuts to greenhouse gas emissions and act decisively to avert a climate catastrophe. The gathering aims to bring forward a strong business message of climate ambition and help to scale and speed climate action in light of the completion of the first Global Stocktake.
The High-Level Meeting will take place from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Gulf Standard Time on Sunday, 3 December, 2023 in the Blue Zone at COP28 in Dubai.

Meeting Logistics
While there is no way to virtually participate in the discussions during the meeting, the meeting will be livestreamed on UN Web TV.
Yes, the meeting will be recorded and posted on the UN Global Compact’s YouTube Page once available.
The meeting is a closed-door event and media will not be invited to attend. However, there will be an official photographer on site. All photographs will be circulated after the event to the email addresses provided during registration.
No, there will not be any interpretation services provided. The meeting will be conducted in English.
Participant Criteria
The High-Level Meeting of Caring for Climate is an invitation-only event for CEOs of UN Global Compact Participant companies and organisations that are actively engaged on climate action as well as representatives from other stakeholder groups, including investors, civil society and labour organizations, business associations, academic institutions, Government and the United Nations.
All invitations are non-transferable. If a CEO wishes to delegate their invitation to another high-level representative from their organization, they can request an invitation here. All requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Due to the high-level nature of the meeting and capacity restrictions, the roundtable is reserved for CEOs and heads of organizations or UN agencies. Participants that fit this criteria will be seated at the roundtable and will have the opportunity to participate in the discussions. All other attendees will be given observer seats that are located behind the roundtable seats.
Registration
Yes, only those who have completed the registration process and have been approved will be permitted access to the meeting.
Due to capacity restrictions, only one person per organization will be able to register and attend.
Yes, this meeting will be located within the Blue Zone at COP28 and all attendees will require Blue Zone badges to attend. Please note that the deadline to request assistance through the UN Global Compact in gaining access to the Blue Zone has passed and you will already need to have your own Blue Zone badge in order to attend the meeting.
