Virtual SDG Global Business Forum
Co-creating business impact to drive transformation

The 2024 SDG Global Business Forum will take place virtually alongside the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), the United Nations central platform for the follow-up and review of the SDGs. The Forum will place special emphasis on the SDGs under in-depth review this year, namely Goal 1 (No poverty), Goal 2 (Zero hunger), Goal 13 (Climate action), Goal 16 (Peace, justice and strong institutions) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). It will also serve as a key moment ahead of the Summit of the Future in September, gathering business inputs towards key topics for a reinvigorated multilateral system that is better positioned to positively impact people’s lives.

According to the UN, over 1 billion people are living in multidimensional poverty in nearly 110 countries. The impacts of the climate crisis, increased war and fragility, a weak global economy, and the lingering effects of the pandemic have revealed weaknesses and hindered progress towards the 2030 Agenda, with the world’s poorest and most vulnerable experiencing the worst effects of these unprecedented global challenges.
