On the side-lines of the 68th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, the UN Global Compact and Champions of Change Coalition will convene global Chief Executives championing gender equality to reflect on how the private sector can close the gender gaps in representation and leadership, as well as the gender pay gap – stubborn deterrents to achieving full economic participation of women worldwide. Round table discussions will focus on the need for more ambitious targets and comprehensive action to achieve gender equality by 2030, the importance and value of gender equality in the workplace and highlight promising practices to achieve equal representation across all levels of management.
The event will also feature a networking lunch and a spotlight presentation unveiling the preliminary findings of research conducted by the Africa Business Leaders Coalition (ABLC) and the Boston Consulting Group on Women’s Economic Inclusion in Africa. Key insights of the Business Leadership Dialogues will inform the African Business Leaders Gender Equality Statement set to launch in 2024.
Findings from this engaging dialogue will contribute to the Summit of the Future during the UN General Assembly Week in September 2024.
The Business Leadership Dialogue is strictly by invitation only. Select C-Suite representatives from organizations that are highly engaged UN Global Compact Participants will have exclusivity in attending the event.
