Organized by the United Nations Global Compact Network in Paraguay in coordination with the 11 Networks and teams of the UN Global Compact in Latin America and the Caribbean and the Global Compact Office, the event ‘Forward Faster Now | Accelerating sustainable development in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC)’, will take place on Wednesday November 20th in the city of Asunción, Paraguay, and will be the first corporate sustainability congress of the United Nations Global Compact in the region.
The event will convene business leaders, government representatives, corporate sustainability experts, UN Global Compact Networks and the UN system in the LAC region to promote public-private collaborative action, as well as business ambition aligned to the Sustainable Development Goals, take stock of the regional progress made so far, examine existing gaps, and share scalable solutions in key thematic areas, from the more than 4,000 business participants in the region.
The event will challenge companies to move faster now and set ambitious targets in key sustainability areas.
What to expect at this year's event
Inspiring Presentations
Leading voices from business, government, the United Nations and academia will present private sector progress towards the SDGs, and examples of how companies are accelerating change, setting bold targets and how to track progress.
Discussion Panels
